大奥十八景
延宝七年，正值四代幕府将军德川家纲（あおい輝彦饰）执政期间。时风调雨顺，国泰民安。某日，家纲外出打猎途中，偶然看见在山泉边洗澡的少女小夏（伊織祐未饰）。为其青春野性所吸引，家纲将其据为己有。不久后，小夏被招入大奥，开始新的人生；美浓（山本奈津子饰）经诊断怀孕，但绝非将军之子，她因此受到残酷虐待，最终走上绝路；小秀（辻沢杏子饰）渐渐厌倦大奥的枯燥压抑生活，她偶然邂逅医生中条源四郎（勝野洋饰），遂心生爱意。在美浓自杀后，她也逃出大奥；下级侍女佳乃（野村真美饰）弄湿将军的衣服，最终得到将军的谅解，她也因此得到家纲的一夕临幸。数月后，家纲猝死，大奥中的女人都面临共同的命运：或离开大奥，或去发为尼。五代纲吉（宮内洋饰）继位，他命令源四郎寻找曾经大奥中一个会散发出麝香味的女子……

But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present. Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
